How to Use

Getting Started

When you first open RandomCreator, you'll see the Number Randomizer mode ready to use. Simply tap the "Generate" button to create your first random number!

Number Randomizer

Open the Settings tab at the bottom
Adjust the minimum and maximum values for your range
Return to the Randomizer tab
Select Number mode from the picker
Tap Generate to get your random number

Name Randomizer

Go to the Settings tab
Scroll to the Name Randomizer Settings section
Add names to your list (up to 10 names)
Return to the Randomizer tab
Select Name mode from the picker
Tap Pick a Name to see the roulette animation and result

Dice Randomizer

Go to the Settings tab
Adjust the number of dice and sides per die
Return to the Randomizer tab
Select Dice mode from the picker
Tap Roll Dice or shake your device to roll!

Managing Name Lists

Add names: Type a name in the text field and tap "Add"
Remove names: Swipe left on any name and tap "Delete"
Reorder names: Tap and drag the handles on the right side
Duplicate protection: The app prevents duplicate names (case-insensitive)

Q: Why can't I add more than 10 names?

A: The limit of 10 names is designed to keep the interface clean and ensure the roulette animation works smoothly. This covers most common use cases while maintaining performance.

Q: The shake-to-roll feature isn't working. What's wrong?

A: Shake detection only works on physical iOS devices, not in the iOS Simulator. If you're using a real device and it's not working, make sure you've granted motion permissions to the app. You can also use the "Roll Dice" button as an alternative.

Q: Are the random numbers truly random?

A: RandomCreator uses Apple's SystemRandomNumberGenerator, which provides cryptographically secure random numbers. The results are as random as possible for a mobile app.

Troubleshooting

App crashes or freezes

Force close the app and reopen it
Restart your device
